Emilia Clarke has confirmed a spin-off Game of Thrones show starring Jon Snow is in the works.

While speaking with BBC News to promote her stage show The Seagull, the 35-year-old actor couldn’t dodge questions about the hugely speculated show.

When asked if she knew anything about the upcoming project, Clarke admitted: “He [Kit Harington] has told me about it. And I know it exists.

“It’s happening.”

She added: “It’s been created by Kit as far as I can understand, so he’s in it from the ground up. So what you will be watching, hopefully, if it happens, is certified by Kit Harington.”

However, don’t get your hopes up that the actor will be reprising the role of the Queen of Dragons anytime soon.

When asked if she was tempted to return to the series that made her a household name, the actor responded: “No, I think I’m done.”

Rumours of a new series began circulating after The Hollywood Reporter claimed Harington would play the role of Jon Snow once again in a new Game of Thrones series at HBO.

It would be the first GoT series that has been announced that would be set after the events of the original TV series.

All we know of Snow is that he headed north beyond The Wall at the end of season 8 to hang out with the Wildlings.

There could be a whole host of problems, dramas, trials and tribulations for the character in the post-Westeros is burnt to the ground era.

And where there’s smoke, there’s fire, apparently.

Along with the untitled Jon Snow TV project, the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon is also underway and scheduled to be released August 21.
